Today Only, Metro 2033 is $5. Buy it.

One of Jason's favorite lesser-known shooters is stupid cheap for a single day.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

Psst.  Hey.  Yeah, you.  Do you like games with guns in them?  Sure, who doesn’t.  Do you like games with guns in them where you have to manage a gas mask air filter system to stay alive, help future communists fight future Nazis, try to survive onslaughts of psychic mutants, avoid ghost trains, and do so all while trying to blow up a giant monster nest in the middle of a post-apocalyptic Moscow?

If you answered no to any of these questions, then you and I are going to have words.  While it released to very little fanfare a few years ago, Metro 2033 is one of those little gaming gems that may have avoided the public eye but has an absolutely diehard audience which spread its message of love far and wide across the web.  As you can obviously tell, I count myself among their ranks.  Easily one of the most interesting games to come out in a good long time, Metro 2033 is a title well-worth its one day-only $5 sale on Steam.

For those internet time travelers reading this a day late, I do apologize.  If it’s any consolation, Metro 2033 is every bit worthy of its default $20 price tag.  You have my guarantee.
