Kid Icarus Video Rises up from Japan

Pit does battle with an airship in this new footage of the Japanese version of Uprising.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

Nintendo’s been mostly quiet when it comes to Kid Icarus: Uprising since the game appeared at E3, but there’s finally some new footage for fans to get excited over. Pit is big on multitasking these days and so he carries on a conversation on the bottom screen while fighting a menacing airship up top.

Our Japanese is a bit rusty, but we still got the jist of the conversation. The little guy seems to be distressed over the fact that he had to wait 21 years to get another starring role only to have it be on an under-performing platform. If you ask us, he should just be thankful that he didn’t end up on the Nintendo Hindenburg Virtual Boy.
