Get back, you badly textured, horned, beast!
Killing dragons, or just anything, in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can be addicting. Not only addicting, but just plain fun. The type of fun that keeps you from having legitimate social interactions with people because you will not leave your house. Then when you are in the groove and walking along in the forest looking at birds and elk, you look to your left and see some paper berries! What’s a paper berry, Mash Those Buttons? A paper berry is a paper thin berry native to various parts of Skyrim. It will not take long to notice that berries should just not look like that, and neither should a lot of things in the game.
Dear god, the textures in Skyrim take me back to the days of Oblivion. Actually, a lot of the epic games by Bethesda have this texture problem. They can get away with it because their open world role playing games are so addicting and this one has dragons! People will complain though, so Bethesda is (hopefully) going to do something about it this time. Pete Hines, the company’s Vice President of marketing, has commented that there may be a fairly large patch to fix some concerning issues. “We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address issues any bugs and [performance] issues we can,” he said. “We will fix as much as we can for your platform. I don’t know if it will fix ‘your’ bug. Takes a while to test/fix/regress. Hang in there.”
If your bug is that the AI makes you want to throw a pet, this will likely not be a fix for YOUR issue, but those with problems regarding textures may get their solution. We look forward to this patch, Bethesda. What issues have you been experiencing in game, readers?
