Reportedly, copies of Super Mario Land 3D for both Japan and North America will come with a mandatory 3DS firmware update. This update will enhance security for the system, as well as a “join game” feature for your friends list which will be grayed out when the game you are playing does not support multiplayer modes. Another update is due later this month (for everybody) that will include video recording features, updated Streetpass games, downloadable content (DLC) functionality, and some eShop improvements.
