Zelda Symphony Concert Series Coming to Dallas

Symphony of the Goddesses is Texas bound.

Nintendo has finally seen fit to announce the second date in the Zelda 25th Anniversary Concert Series. Not lost on us here at MTB is the fact that this second date of the tour is scheduled during what will be the series’ 26th anniversary year. The millions of Zelda fans out there are unlikely to shed any tears over it, however, as they’ll be too overcome with joy over the announcement of the tour carrying on.

Redubbed The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, the tour will begin proper in Dallas on January 10th. Ticket prices will range from $19 to $115. Club Nintendo members can secure seats at a 15 percent discount, now through November 30th.

Irish-born conductor Eimear Noone will handle the conducting for the series and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will bring composer Koji Kondo’s beautiful music from the series to life. Nintendo says, “the multimedia show will pair iconic music and gorgeous visuals from classic Zelda titles.”

The first show took place back on October 21st in L.A.’s Pantages Theater. No other official dates have been added yet, but sources close to the project had informed MTB back in July that the initial plan was to get things into full swing starting around March of 2012; so it seems likely that we’ll be hearing more official announcements in the near future.
