Sony Tablet S Gets PS3 Controller Support

Japanese gamers can now play games on the device with a PS3 DualShock.

The latest Japanese system update to Sony’s Tablet S gives gamers the ability to play the device using a PlayStation 3 controller. The new feature only works on the S model, not the Tablet P. In order to use a DualShock controller players will have to purchase a USB adapter cable for setup purposes. The cable is not required during play after the initial setup.

No mention has been made of a North American or European release of the update, but we’re betting it’s only a matter of time before that happens.
