“After 17 years the sword was thought to have lost its power.” That is essentially all the story you’re going to get out of this Soulcalibur V “story trailer” Namco EU pushed out today. Thankfully the publisher saw fit to clear things up for viewers who aren’t completely versed in series lore by writing in the video’s description that “the ultimate clash between Siegfried and Nightmare brought a cataclysmic conclusion to an era and ignited a new one. Since then, the sword was thought to have lost its power… But the new story that unfold will prove everyone to be wrong.”
