Origin is Creeping into your EA Game Purchases Everywhere

An "interesting" feature from EA's Origin service.

Origin has already garnered a reputation for snooping into gamers’ privacy, but now it isn’t trying to sugarcoat it.  Origin account holders posted on the Day One Patch forum indicating that games that they had not purchased through Origin had been appearing on their accounts (such as Dead Space 2.)  These purchases have been originally completed through Steam and other online services.  Origin has been known to check file names on users’ computers, which could have something to do with this feature.  You decide: is this feature useful or downright creepy?
