Monday TrackBlaster: Call Me Maybe (Carly Rae Jepsen Cover) – Kedromelon

Warning: May create a new guilty pleasure.

Pop music is made to make you dance, cry, feel like a teenager all over again… or something. Most of the time it is awful nonsense, sending bad messages to those that aren’t paying attention: Katy Perry joins the Marines after finding out her scumbag boyfriend is cheating on her, sense-making. The one good thing about this generation’s popular music is that there are artists out there that want to make it better.

That’s what Kedromelon has done with Carly Rae Jespen’s “Call Me Maybe.” It’s dirty, catchy, and wonderfully 8-bit. ♫ Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy… ♫ bleep bloop. The dancing awaits.

Katie has always had a connection to games and was able to make Super Mario Bros. a motion game before Nintendo even thought of the Wii. She has a serious addiction; an illness if you may, of loving ridiculous games. She has been through an extensive digital rehabilitation, but we fear her addiction is surfacing again.
