Sometimes The World Looks Perfect

Nothing To Rearrange

If you’ve been puttering around the internet any time over the past few hours, you’ve probably read about the Perfect Strangers game: Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me Now. If you need a couple of laughs and have a few minutes to burn give it a shot. The game asks you to supply a dream at first, then you guide Balki through a short walk/flight, and are scored based on how many stars you collect. At minimum it’s worth playing to see the list of dreams that shows up when the game’s over. Oh the internet, you’re always reaching for the stars.

It’s the work of Jason Oda; a man who makes advertising games for various companies. He’s made a lot of goofy stuff, but has also re-done some classic games for bands. He re-made Oregon Trail for Fall Out Boy which is actually pretty good. More so, though, is the Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego remake for Cobra Starship. I don’t care one bit about Cobra Starship, but I played that game for over an hour; rekindling an old affair I once had with the original game back in elementary school.

I WILL FIND THE KID WHO DELETED MY SAVES OFF THE SCHOOL COMPUTER ONE DAY! I WAS ON THE TOP FLOOR! YOU KNOW HOW MANY CASES I HAD TO SOLVE TO GET THERE? DO YOU? I HOPE YOU’RE ROTTING IN A DITCH!

…Check out the rest of his stuff if you want to soar while listening to the theme music for an eighties sitcom or comb the planet for a ketchup packet thief. It’s good fun.
