Pid Gets Awesome Music

Retro Family puts out some pretty chill tunes to play a platformer on.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

You know your game is gonna be pretty awesome when you get a Swedish group making your game tracks.  Retro Family explains how the band of three uses different techniques to create music for the game; going back and checking out solid musical demos from several years ago.  The goal of the soundtrack was to give it strong ties musically to games from the NES and SNES era of gaming.  A lot of the music from that era of gaming had strong, repetitious music that drove a game on.  The video will explain how this is created, along with music that changes for special encounters and such.  The tune for the game is definitely something you could chill out to and will be available on iTunes in the near future.  Pid is due out some time in 2012.
