A New Co-op Walking Dead Game From Payday Developers

Overkill is bringing co-op first-person shooting to The Walking Dead.

This is going to get confusing.  Another new game titled “The Walking Dead” (dubbed Overkill’s The Walking Dead) is being developed by Payday developers Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studio.  The first-person shooter will focus on co-op with new characters and story lines, and according to Skybound Entertainment CEO Robert Kirkman, will be the “co-op game that all of the Walking Dead fans have been waiting for”.

“The collaboration between Starbreeze Studios and our partner Skybound Interactive will deliver something uniquely exciting for our millions of fans. We’re two independents joining forces to create the ultimate survival horror game. With Robert on the team, we will bring The Walking Dead into the world of first-person shooter co-op games.”

“It will be gameplay focused, ferocious and bring chaos to the traditional industry model – from us developers straight to you. This time it’s big – don’t walk alone.”

-Bo Andersson Klint, CEO, Starbreeze AB

The trailer below is just a teaser and doesn’t really give us an idea of what the game will play like, but may give us a glimpse into the type of messed up things we will be dealing with when we play.  Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time a teaser was misleading
