In your average tower defense game your goal is to destroy the creeps before they reach some central location. Fat Chicken turns that idea on it’s head, tasking players with keeping creeps alive until they can reach their final destination — a slaughter house. In Fat Chicken players will need to place towers that will fatten up and genetically modify livestock, keeping them plump and alive for when they reach the slaughter house and… Well, you know how the rest of that story goes. Players will also need to defend against protestors and other hazards that try to ruin your production, using things like security guards and turrets to keep your livestock safe.
Relevant Games and Mighty Rabbit Studios aren’t looking to make light of a serious topic, however. The goal of the game is to make people aware of what’s going on with your food. Instead of taking a serious tone that might turn some away, they made the world bright and colorful to help draw players in so they could get their message across. Right now the game is on Steam Greenlight, and you can help push it through by giving them the thumbs up. The Greenlight page also has a few videos talking about the game.
