Sony Tears Down the PS5, Amazon Tears Down Crucible.
Sony tears down the PS5 while Microsoft UK tears down how you turn a console. Also, Microsoft might be in the market for Bungie and Amazon exits the crucible that is the shooter market....
Jarret and Nick are back to talk about what’s been going on in the gaming world of late. First, Nick talks about the Blizzard delaying the new World of Warcraft expansion and how that affected him. Jarret meanwhile is struggling trying to balance Horizon Zero Dawn, Final Fantasy XV, and Hades. Jarret points out that plenty of people only play the beginning of a game and Nick wonders if there’s a way to pay for games when people have such massive backlogs or minimal experience. It ends with him becoming a Microsoft Shill for Gamepass.
Jarret then talks about his experience playing Star Wars: Squadrons.
In the news, Sony has been getting backlash for recasting the facial model for Spider-Man in the PS5 Remaster. While the problem was a technical one, players are reacting to how the character now looks much younger. Sony is also dealing with reports that PS4 saves may not work on upgraded PS5 games, but that is due to the fact that the upgraded game is technically a different product. The process of upgrading games from PS4 to PS5 has been frustrating for people to figure out and determine what they have to pay for and what they will just get. Microsoft, in a response eight years in the making, released a gif that says for Xbox you just put the disk in your console and it plays the best it can.
Jarret then complains about the articles where reporters were given an XBox Series X. His problem is that they were not given any games, so they could only play existing games and comment on how the new hardware runs in comparison to the XBox One. Nick thinks this help to show the value of Gamepass. (SHILL!)
There are rumours circulating about a Mass Effect Legendary edition for the trilogy, but the delay is that the first game has not held up. The graphics and the gameplay are dated and to fix them basically means rebuilding the original game from scratch.
Michael Ancel has left Ubisoft after reports of a toxic management style. Jarret and Nick talk about why he could have gotten away with it for so long and ponder Ubisoft’s direction.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
