Episode 3 of The Last of Us is a change of pace from the first two episodes. While episodes 1 and 2 brought loss, surprisingly, episode 3 brings us love. Clearly this is a huge departure from the game, and hopefully, the farthest we’ll get from the source material. Still, so far, this is the best episode we’ve seen. This weeks episode brings us the story of Bill, a man who distrusts society and has prepared for it. To his surprise though, he finds something other than survival to fight for in Frank. For fans of the game, this is our first time seeing Frank alive. Even though we aren’t treated to the dialog between Bill and Ellie, we can appreciate this story for what it is. Surprisingly, it was nice to see Bill happy.
