Sony Officially Announces Two Tablets

One of them DOES NOT look at all like a DS (protip: it totally does).

Three weeks ago, MTB reported that Sony was working on an Android 3.0-powered tablet PC.   As it turns out, they’re making two.  The S1 and S2 (code names) will have 9.5 and 5.5 inch screens, respectively.  The larger device will have a wedge-like shape, while the S2 has sort of a sleeker Nintendo DS vibe going on.  As originally believed, they’ll both run on Android 3.0.  Additionally, the tablets will of course have WiFi and WAN (3/4G) capabilities.

We don’t yet know if the originally reported summer release, 1280 x 800 resolution or $600 price tag are accurate.
