Dragon Age II ‘Legacy’ DLC Coming July 26

The new content will test out a novel concept for an RPG: sending players to different locations. Bold move, BioWare.

Dragon Age II was yet another stellar RPG from the masters over at BioWare, but reviewers (myself included) and gamers moaned and groaned about how the game shackled you to Kirkwall and its immediate surrounding areas. On July 26th, that’s all going to change when the developer releases the Legacy DLC for PC, Mac, PS3 and 360. The quest will send Hawke and company to a new location, namely, the Vimmark Mountains.

“Leave Kirkwall, and journey to an ancient Grey Warden prison,” decrees BioWare. It is there that you will come across the “harsh” reality of the Hawke bloodline. BioWare also promises that you’ll acquire a new weapon to wield against some new types of darkspawn and an “ancient horror.” If that sort of thing interest you, then set aside ten smackaroos and start preparing yourself for the rigors of squaring off against a geriatric monstrosity.
