Gears 3 DLC RAAMs Out of the Shadows on Dec. 13

Epic details their shooter's largest downloadable pack yet.

Epic Games today announced a DLC pack for Gears of War 3 called “RAAM’s Shadow” that takes place prior to the events of the first game in the series. Releasing on December 13, RAAM’s Shadow will go for 1200 MSP and come with another 250 achievement points. The content includes a roughly three hour campaign mission, six new multiplayer characters and the Chocolate Weapon Skin Set. While it’s still going to suck when your face gets chainsawed in two, at least it’ll taste good.

As a member of the Zeta squad that wasn’t important enough to make it into the series’ main campaigns, players will have to defend some citizens from a Kryll storm the likes of which hasn’t been seen since the shrimp storm in Forrest Gump. Uh, anyways, Zeta is led by Michael Barrick from the comics and is also compromised of a motley crew of other background characters from the franchise.

Players will have to fight against the titular General RAAM. Interestingly, they’ll also play as ol’ ramrod himself. Those who pick up the DLC will take control of the General and be tasked with storming the human stronghold. This will be the second major downloadable add-on for the game after Horde Command Pack drops on November 1.
