Vita’s North American Data Plans Revealed

You've heard of date rape. Now it's time for you to get to know its good friend: data rape.

AT&T, confirming the leak from last week, officially announced that the PlayStation Vita data plans for North America when it launches here on February 22nd. The same two plans that the retail-level employee floated out there last week are what will be available to consumers come launch day.

For the budget-conscious, a $14.99 plan with 250MB of data will be available. Anyone who feels that you can’t put a price tag on data can choose to fork over $24.99 a month in exchange for 2GB of data — not exactly chump change. That amounts to 300 greenbacks for an entire year. On the bright side, you won’t be locked into a full year: the plans will both work on a month-to-month basis.
