Nintendo 3DS Has a Date in Japan, US and Europe to Follow

There has been a lot of speculation since Nintendo’s unveiling of the 3DS back at E3 in June.  Some were convinced that Nintendo was far enough along in the development of the system to have it out by the upcoming holiday in all regions, while others saw it being released in 2011, albeit with dates ranging at all points throughout the year.  Well wonder no more, as today Nintendo has laid down a firm date for the 3DS (at least in Japan).  The system will be released in Japan on February 26th, 2011 to the tune of 25,000 yen.  A tentative US and European release has been scheduled for an undetermined date in March 2011.  25,000 yen translates to roughly $299, but official US pricing has yet to be announced.
