Based on the artwork, screenshots, and videos I have seen so far, “Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom” is another game that has caught my interest. Indulging in a co-op partnership with an AI beast while solving puzzles and combat seems like the perfect plan for a weekend. I’m looking forward to reviewing this game when it releases November 23,2010 with a MSRP of $59.99. In the interim, I’ll have to make do with the free playable demo being released tomorrow on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

MAJIN AND THE FORSAKEN KINGDOM™ HAS GONE GOLD

Spellbinding Action Adventure is Ready to be Unleashed and Pre-launch Demo Coming Soon

SANTA CLARA, Calif., (Oct. 25, 2010) – NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., today announced that Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom™, has gone gold for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.  Featuring an engaging storyline, the game takes players through a seamless world where an agile protagonist and a powerful AI controlled monster must forge an alliance to battle enemies, and conquer challenges. Developed by Game Republic, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is scheduled to be released throughout North America on November 23, 2010. To whet player’s appetites in the meantime, a free playable demo will be available from the PlayStation®Network on October 26 and Xbox LIVE® Marketplace soon after.

Wrapped in an emotional journey of courage and friendship, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom takes players on a majestic adventure as Tepeu, a cunning individual who must rely on his agility to triumph over increasing obstacles. What he lacks in might, his towering companion makes up for it with his colossal size and brawn. As players progress through the game’s lush environments, the Majin will continue to acquire additional abilities that will provide access to previously obstructed areas.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom redefines co-op AI gameplay by delivering an accessible experience that offers the perfect mix of stealth, action, platform navigation and combat that is designed to keep the journey gripping and immersive. Though each character has their own objective, teamwork is essential for survival as the hero and the Majin must work in tandem to persevere over any challenge that lies in their path. This complementary relationship will only deepen and evolve as the story unfolds.

In the downloadable demo, players will set out on the game’s very first level where the hero first encounters the Majin. Together they embark on their voyage through the beautiful, yet darkness-infected kingdom. The demo gives players a taste of the vast wealth of gameplay the full version possesses with vile enemies to overcome and conundrums to solve.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB and will carry a suggested MSRP of $59.99. For more information on the game, please visit www.namcobandaigames.com
