LittleBigPlanet 2 Getting Final Fantasy VII Costumes

inFAMOUS 2, Killzone 3, Toy Story and Motorstorm Apocalypse packs are also in the works.

Sony has decided that the amnesia-afflicted star of Final Fantasy VII wasn’t confused enough already about who he is, so they’re turning him into a Sack Boy.  But they’re not stopping there; Sephiroth, Aerith, Tifa and Vincent costumes are also headed to Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet 2.  The content will arrive on July 13th and fans will be offered the choice to either buy costumes piecemeal, or acquire them all in one pack (the only way to get Vincent) for $5.99. Individually, the costumes will go for $1.99.

In addition to the FF outfits, Sony also discussed several other pieces of DLC from other established IPs.  This week features the Cole McGrath (inFAMOUS) suite of costumes and stickers.  Good and bad versions of “The Demon of Empire City” are being offered.  The bad version has a sort of Frankenstein thing going on, sans bolts.  Just like the Killzone 3 pack which will follow on July 20th, the McGrath DLC carries a price tag of $2.99.  Included with the Killzone pack will be Rico and Hazmat Trooper costumes along with more stickers.

Players can also expect the Toy Story 3 and Motorstorm Apocalypse downloadable content to arrive in the not-too-distant future.   We’ve also got a look at the impressively fire-resistant Sephiroth Sack Boy for you. Is it just us, or does it look like they took this shot during ol’ Seph’s ’80s hair-metal phase?   Everyone at MTB is eagerly anticipating his VH1 Behind the Music special.
