Modern Warfare 3 Will Offer Color Blind Assist Option

Excuse me, you there with the assault rifle... Would you kindly tell me whose side you're own before opening fire?

Have you ever had trouble differentiating between your teammates and enemies in an online match of Call of Duty? I certainly have, and I know I’m not alone. With 6% of the population suffering from a condition known as Color Vision Deficiency (commonly referred to as Color Blindness), Sledgehammer Games estimates that around one million players cannot differentiate between the similarly camouflaged get ups that each faction wears in the games.

In response to this issue, the developers are implementing a feature called Color Blind Assist Option. “You won’t be able blame your red-green deficiency for all that friendly-fire,” says Sledgehammer CEO Michael Condrey. You read that right my fellow color-challenged players, we should be able to actually figure out who the hell we’re shooting at in Modern Warfare 3.
