The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to be Playable at Comic-Con

Nintendo unveils its plans to let the public get their hands on Zelda and more at the San Diego event.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Nintendo is usually one to play things pretty close to the vest, so you may be surprised to discover that their biggest game of the year will be playable at this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con. That’s right, show attendees will have the chance to experience The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for themselves. You’ll be able to find the game — and likely a long line to play it — at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina.

The Big N isn’t stopping with just Zelda, either; just about every single one of their major upcoming games will be playable on site. Among the playable titles will be the following 3DS software: Super Mario, Super Mario Kart, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Star Fox 64, Shinobi and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater. Kirby Wii and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker: 2 (DS) will also be in playable form.

But that’s still not everything Nintendo has in store for its fans. A Pokemon event will be held on July 21st from 4 – 6 pm in the Nintendo lounge. Expect Black and White battles, a giant AR card to ineract with and a slew of Pokemon-related giveaways. There will also be a number of other prizes given out throughout the show, and 3DS owners will have the chance to download and swap data with each other.
