Tim Schaaff: PSN Hack Was a “Great Experience”

In a startling new PR twist, apparently, every cloud has a silver lining.

With the PlayStation Network back up and fully running in all regions, it’s time for those involved in the whole catastrophe to look back and heave a collective sigh of relief.  In a recent interview with VentureBeat, President of Sony Network Entertainment Tim Schaaff went so far as to call the recent PSN disaster a “great experience.”  While Schaaff is clearly not looking forward to dealing with any future hacking issues (should they arise), he claims that Sony has recovered well from the whole situation:

We’re back online, everything’s live again around the world, and the amazing thing through all of this is that the customers have all come back, and network performance is better than ever, sales are better than ever, and we’ve been very, very pleasantly surprised by the experience… and we’re in a place where we’re really looking forward again to what’s next, what’s new, and how we can keep growing the network.  It’s a pretty crazy event that we went through but we survived, and we’re back strong, and ready to go.
