To the surprise of no one, Valve has announced that DotA 2 is coming to Steam. In the legitimate surprise column, though, the publisher has spontaneously began allowing gamers to sign up for the game’s beta. All you have to do is sign in through Steam and then wait until Valve decides you have waited long enough. No details about beta dates, how participants will be selected from the pool of those that sign up, or when the lucky few (or possibly many) will be notified were provided.
