Gamescom 2011: Trine 2 Cooperative Trailer Released

Why switch out characters when all 3 can be used at the same time.

There used to be an embeded media player here, but it doesn't work anymore. We blame the Tumbeasts.

Trine was a gorgeous small title from the people at Frozenbyte Games and Atlus. Now they are back to impress with the gorgeous visuals of Trine 2. Trine 2 is bringing back the 3 characters from the past game that fit under the basic fantasy party of the thief (Zoya), soldier (Pontius), and wizard (Amadeus). Each one has their own special and unique abilities to fight off the evil that plagues the land. As you progress you can gain experience and level up each character’s skills.

Trine 2 is looking to improve upon everything that was good in the first Trine. The visuals looking stunning and game play looks as solid as the last game. The one new feature that they are showing off in this trailer is the offline and online co-op game play. This is one of the best features of the game because if you play by yourself you have to switch out the characters one at a time. In co-op the players can control all 3 at the same time and pull of some cool combos. The trailer shows off what players can do together through the power of team work.

Atlus and Frozenbyte Games are looking to get this out as soon as they can. So far Trine 2 is set for digital release for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Watch the trailer above, and try and keep your eyes from melting from all the gorgeous use of color in this upcoming game.
