Capcom Officially Announces the Devil May Cry HD Collection

Even years afterwards, this party is still "gettin' crazaaaay."

Not unlike how Hollywood loves to go back and remake classic films, so too does the game’s industry enjoy re-releasing old bestsellers for new profits. We’re not trying to sound jaded, mind you, as some games do warrant a revisit. Case in point: Capcom has just announced the Devil May Cry HD Collection for release in 2012.

As can be easily inferred by the title, the upcoming DMC HD Collection will contain all three of the Playstation 2 Devil May Cry series games. The set will be released on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 with new content including trophies/achievements. While Capcom has only just made this official announcement regarding the re-release of Shinji Mikami’s classic action series, you can rest easy knowing that the version of Devil May Cry 3 included will be the special edition. So now you don’t have to cry (pun not intended, we assure you) so much about the absurd default difficulty setting.
