SEGA’s Upcoming Nintendo 3DS Games Get Release Dates

Ready for Sonic in 3D?

SEGA has just confirmed release dates for Sonic Generations, Shinobi, CRUSH3D, and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games; and they will all be arriving at retail this year or in early 2012.

 Shinobi

Shinobi is the long anticipated continuation of the classic side-scrolling action series.  The game is going to have several new features including a new combat system and a large assortment of achievements and challenges to unlock.  Shinobi will be available November 11, 2011 in Europe and on November 15, 2011 in North America.

Sonic the Hedgehog, meanwhile, is back for his 20th anniversary, and he’s in 3D for the first time!  In Sonic Generations, players will get to play both the classic and modern Sonic, as well as enjoy some flashbacks to their youth.  The game will be available November 22, 2011 in North America and November 25, 2011 in Europe.

 Sonic Generations

The publisher is also giving CRUSH the 3D treatment for the first time.  Fans of the original critically acclaimed puzzle game will be able to get lost in CRUSH 3D on January 10, 2012 in North America. It’ll see a release in Europe just a few days later on January 13, 2012.  Players will be able to switch from 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional and back again with just a touch of a button.

Lastly, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will be available in Europe February 10, 2012, and North America is scheduled to get it on February 14, 2012.  Mario and Sonic once again managed to pass the Olympic qualifying rounds and will be competing for the gold in over 50 games.
