Don’t Panic! PSN is Going Down for Maintenance

Any day I can make a Hitchhiker's Guide reference is a good day.

Before anyone out there logs onto the PlayStation Network this Thursday and immediately assumes the worst, we at Mash Those Buttons kindly request you refrain from jumping to conclusions. PSN is undergoing a little bit of maintenance on November 17, and it will be down for a number of hours. From 8 AM to 10 PM PST (that’s 11 AM To 1 AM for East Coast gamers), PS3 and PSP owners will be unable to access the PSN store and most online game functionality for a bit. You can still go and earn trophies during this downtime as everything will re-sync when the network is back.

While tomorrow’s PSN maintenance isn’t the shocking scandal that will rock the gaming world, we do feel necessary to let a few of you guys know in advance. Before, you know, ya’ll freak out and assume more hacking has taken place.
