ATLUS released their Combo Showcase trailer today to give you KoF fans a peek at what you can expect from the latest in the series. This showcase features 21 of the 30+ characters available, and as you can see there are combos a-plenty. Along with the trailer ATLUS also released some info on the DLC you can expect to see. The first DLC will be available on December 7th and will feature “Iori with the Power of Flames” character from the ’98 iteration. You can also expect to see three themes, a way to immediately unlock game content, and more. Wait, what?
Yeah, if this means what I think it means, they will allow you to buy unlockables to avoid having to play to unlock them. Not that I have a problem with that; it’s just something you don’t see outside of games like Farmville, so it caught me by surprise. We are reaching out to ATLUS on that one to get some clarification.
If you are really a fan of the series you may want to pre-order soon to get your hands on the The King of Soundtracks ’94-XIII; a 4-disc CD compilation with music from the series 17 year history. KoFXIII comes out 11/22, so yeah… You might want to do that soon.
