PC Gamers Might not Ever Get Call of Duty Elite

And those dirty rotten cheaters are to blame.

The news that the PC version of Call of Duty Elite would not be ready in time for the launch of Modern Warfare 3 broke just days before the release of Activision’s shooter. As it turns out, the service might not ever become available for gamers on the PC.

The service’s official Twitter page tweeted that the team is “working towards a universal Elite experience but [they] cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC.”

Previously, the official word out of Beachhead Studios’ Chacko Sonny was that the devs required “more time to get there, so Elite on PC will not launch on Day 1. We’re working our butts off to make it happen, but we won’t release it until we know that PC gamers can enjoy Elite as it’s meant to be.” A high level of cheating in PC games was cited by Sonny as the main issue that had to be overcome prior to gamers on the platform getting their own version of Elite.
