The Square Enix Group announced today that they plan to further expand operations in Montréal with the growth of Eidos Montréal and the new Square Enix Montréal in 2012. Eidos Montréal was the studio responsible for Deus Ex: Human Revolution earlier this year; and with sales of over 2 million copies worldwide, the studio has cemented its credentials.
They are planning to expand their facilities to include an in-house audio recording, motion track ing studio and a mini-theatre. As well as creating 100 new jobs so that they can bring us new AAA projects.
Square Enix has also confirmed that in 2012 they will be opening a second studio in Montréal which will create 150 jobs. Lee Singleton, who is currently the general manager of Square Enix London Studios will be leading this new studio. The first project that the new Montréal studio will be taking on will be new game for the HITMAN franchise.
