Today BioWare is giving all the Mass Effect fans a very nice Valentine’s day gift; a demo! The demo for Mass Effect 3 is now available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Whether your a veteran to the series or just getting your feet wet, BioWare says everyone will be satisfied.
Players are able to choose the name, gender, and appearance of their Commander Shepard. Due to this, the games background is re-written to fit the players choice so you know everything and can hit the ground running. There are also three different way to play through the game. Action, where players can focus on combat; Story, which focuses more on conversations and scales down the difficulty of action; and lastly, Role Playing blends both together so you get the best of both worlds.
In the demo players will also be able to test out the new multiplayer mode. In Mass Effect 3 players will be able to link progress made in multiplayer directly back to their main campaign. However, the co-op portion of the demo doesn’t open until February 17th unless you have an activated Battlefield 3 online pass. If the demo ends up not being enough to hold you over you will have wait for Sunday when the new CG trailer “Take Earth Back” will be debut during the airing of “The Walking Dead” on AMC.
