Starscream Changes Their Name To Infinity Shred; Releases New Single.

New name. Still awesome.

Starscream has officially changed their name to Infinity Shred.  According to a news post on their website, the name change was prompted by legal issues with a band of a similar name (StarSkream).

Damon:

Though the emotional attachment we have to the name Starscream is undeniable we consistently preach embracing the future and decided to maintain our integrity, thus Infinity Shred was born. Now is as good a time as any for something new and we could not be more excited about what the future has in store. Additionally we would like to wish StarSkream all the best in their future endeavors and hope to have little to nothing to do with them from this point forward.

Along with the new name comes a new single: Wayfinder.  This is the first single from their first EP as Infinity Shred entitled “EP 001 (Gnar Dream)”.  That EP will be available on May 15th.  Starscream’s final show (which is also Infinity Shred’s first) will be on May 12 at Shea Stadium.  You can find more info on the show here, and be sure to check out Wayfinder below.
