It’s Time to Explore Shattered Planet

Kitfox Games releases Shattered Planet on iOS devices, Android version to follow on April 10.

I enjoyed playing the preview build of Shattered Planet. It was a solid game that somehow wasn’t going to be ruined by free-to-play elements. Kitfox Studios was actually doing the right thing: building a solid game that can be enhanced by players who wanted to spend money.

Now, you guys can all find out for yourselves how they did, though, as they’ve finally released the iOS build of the game! Those of us with Android phones are going to have to wait until April 10th (which is nice because a certain reviewer will be heading to PAX East on that date and will have very little to do otherwise), but the rest of you can go give the game a download and see what you think. You may want to call up a little of the old Dark SoulsPrepare to die.” attitude when you play it, though. Expect to see your poor avatar killed a good couple of times while getting the hang of this solid game.
