Blizzcon 2016 Wrap-up

Jarret from Watchpoint Radio and Nick, Rei, and Eric from WoW! Talk! got together to discuss all the Blizzard news and happenings from Blizzcon 2016. Jarret talks extensively about Overwatch and his thoughts on the announced Arcade. Sombra was announced, as was the Overwatch League, which appears to be the next iteration of Major League Gaming. Then, the gang talks about the World of Warcraft announcements. In his first appearance as lead game designer, Ion Hazzikostas did a great job revealing the future of the game and showing the direction he is leading it. Eric is happy that flying was confirmed for patch 7.2, and the gang discusses the different class mounts revealed.

Nick is glad that a plan was released showing a path from 7.1.5 through 7.3, although he is concerned that he will never get to playing his alts. They also discuss the Hearthstone announcement for Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, as well as Varian and Ragnaros being revealed for Heroes of the Storm with an awesome cinematic. Starcraft II is getting some AI and Jarret is concerned this will lead to bad things. Diablo is getting retro-content in the form of Diablo I remade in Diablo III. Finally, Nick discusses the most important announcement made this Blizzcon, regarding the return of one of Blizzard’s founders, Allen Adham.
