Mashcast #1: Too Many Games?

January 30th, 2018

After a two year break, the Mashcast has returned! Jarret and Nick have both returned, but we bought a new host along: Christina aka Poptart. We are doing things a bit differently this time — this won’t be a broad news show. Each episode we will pick one or two topics to talk about and dive into them. On this episode, we will discuss whether the games market is oversaturated or not. Jarret thinks so, but Nick believes that games are being built to take up more of your time. What do you think? Let us know in the comments, Facebook, Soundcloud, or Twitter!

Jarret is Executive Director as well as one of the founding members of Mash Those Buttons. He plays all types of games, but tends to lean more toward FPS, Stealth, and Racing Games. Currently too involved in Overwatch.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.

Gaming has been a core part throughout Poptarts life. Though her specialty is JRPGs, she tries to branch out and try new things. Most of her time gets put into the MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, but she still finds time to play new games.
