We’ve got a huge episode this week, as we continue our Grand Finals preview while also discussing major news breaking throughout the League. We begin with our Grand Finals preview of the NA Bracket, looking at the San Francisco Shock and the Philadelphia Fusion. Both of these powerhouse teams are formidable threats to leave as this year’s champions, and we spend time breaking down the strength of their rosters as well as their recent performances. We go on to look at each squad’s match up potential with the rest of the Grand Finals pack, and speculate on their relative strength and championship potential. We conclude with our prediction for Grand Finals’ overall winner, theorizing the final 2 teams, maps score, and winning squad.

We move on to several huge news stories as the offseason kicks off to an early start. We look at the first of many roster shifts as both the NYXL and London Spitfire bring rumors of player changes and the Spitfire part ways with their entire coaching staff en route to a 2nd consequetive rebuild. From there we move on to major news regarding league leadership as OWL Commissioner Pete Vlastelica steps down from his role in order to pursue other opportunities with Activision Blizzard. We talk about the goods and bads of Vlastelica’s tenure leading the league, and discuss the promotion of Johana Faires (COD League) to the role of “Head of Leagues” with Activision Blizzard. We discuss how this move may push OWL in upcoming seasons and look at Faires recent history with Call Duty League.

We wrap up by honoring this season’s award winners as we finally learn the winners of the Rookie of the Year, Dennis Hawelka Award, and the Coach of the Year award. We talk about each of the award winner’s respective efforts and histories that made their victories possible.
