Welcome to Squad Goals – A Mass Effect Legendary Edition Podcast! We are Mash Those Button’s podcast talking about our experiences playing through the Mass Effect Legendary Edition to be released on May 14th. Our hosts for this journey are: Nick Zielenkievicz, host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & the Goblin; Chip Locke, co-host of Wondrous Tails; and Cory “Kurabara” Treadway, co-host of Apex Legends and Clan of Three. Each week we’ll be discussing our journey through the galaxy and the characters that we meet and our reactions and decisions as we go along.

In this episode, we begin by talking about our gaming history and relationship to Mass Effect. Chip talks about how he has played through the games seven times and loves the franchise. He also mentions he is getting the Deluxe Edition and waiting for his helmet to ship. Kurabara mentions that he usually plays as a paragon. And Nick talks about how he was invested after Knights of the Old Republic and needed another Bioware space franchise.

Then, we talk about our favorite squadmates, where Kurabara basically mentions everyone. Chip brings up the few that Kura didn’t mention, and Nick just talks about how awesome Wrex is.

Next, we discuss our plans for our characters, with Chip planning on playing paragon and Kurabara going renegade, and Nick not sure how he will go but possibly trying to pick neither path.

Finally, we discuss whether to be concerned or not that review copies were not made available to press in advance of the launch. Kura and Chip are a little concerned, but Nick thinks that EA felt that they would be redundant since you can still play Mass Effect to this day.
