This week Nick and Katie welcome Kaz and Frostee from The Worgen’s Howl in advance of Blizzcon. For now, Katie is working on the Headless Horseman mount (again). They talk some about the Headless Horseman merchandise that’s been released this year, and then discuss the recent Genn statue that was announced. This leads to a discussion of whether Genn might be set to die soon. Sylvanas’ fate is also considered. Then the look at Genn’s increased role in the game lately and debate his relationship with Anduin.

Kaz and Frostee talk about Genn’s appearance in the Battle for Azeroth cinematic and compare it to his in-game cinematic models. They also discuss these various appearances with respect to copslay for Genn. Kaz discusses how the Blizzard artists were instructed to make Greymane more white over the years. They also talk about the recent controversy about Worgen’s having tails.

Kaz and Frostee then talk about their cosplay that they’ve been working on. They did Genn Greymane two years ago, Hogger, which won Blizzcon last year, and this year Khazra, a goat from Diablo III. Kaz also talks about the Goron model from three years ago and what has become of the costume and how it shaped her philosophy for crafting costumes going forward. Kaz and Frostee talk about getting through security with your costumes. They also talk about learning to use the costume properly, from where to look to maintain sightlines and how to navigate furniture. Nick asks about how they feel comparing their full body suit cosplay with costumes that other cosplayers may wear.

Finally, they talk about Blizzcon and everyone’s involvement in Con Before the Storm. Katie and Frostee are both on the WoW panel.

Hosts

Nick Zielenkievicz

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.

Katie is a long time gamer who has fallen in love with multiple genres. She started young by playing Nintendo 64, Spyro, and Blizzard games such as Warcraft II with family, then eventually moved into playing games in both my leisure time and as a occupation. She loves being immersed in different universes and exploring the characters that live in them, as well as just playing games for a good time.
