On Nazmir
Nick and Katie discuss Nazmir and consider Gallywix as well as turtle wizards!...
Katie is back from Blizzcon and ready to talk to Nick about everything that went down. She talks a little about her time at Con Before the Storm and also wandering the convention, and then they get into some of the reveals about upcoming content. In particular, Sylvanas being shown holding Xal’atath is concerning as the thought of the The Dark Lady teaming up with an Old God is imposing. Finally, they get into the cinematics from the show.
First, they look at Lost Honor featuring Saurfang and Anduin. They talk about the opening at Stormwind Harbor and Anduin’s maturation over the last two expansions. They also talk about Genn as a role model and aren’t completely harsh on him as they have been in the past. They consider Saurfang’s struggle and the way in which Anduin stands up to him in the cell. They also look at Anduin’s history of confronting orcs by himself.
Next, they review the Terror of Darkshore cinematic. Both Nick and Katie are glad to see the Night Elves back to being their fierce, savage selves, and in particular, welcome this new, badass Malfurion. Nick is still terrified for the orc that gets sucked into the ground. Patch 8.1 is shaping up to be exciting!
Nick poaches an email from YepX meant for WoW! Talk! and uses that to set up a discussion about Alex Afrasiabi’s recent revelations that Sylvanas was behind the Wrathgate. They look at the logistics and try to consider how things would play out if Sylvanas had known about the coup. They agree that Sylvanas probably did order the use of the blight but did not intend for Putress and Varimathras to revolt.
Finally, Nick shares his theory about Anduin becoming the new Arthas. He looks at the Legion comic “Son of the Wolf” which has the ending set in the future of old man Anduin leading a last battle. He points out there is no enemy specified, and wonders what if Anduin and Velen have been corrupted by the fanatical light from AU Draenor? This leads to a discussion about the possible connection of the Mag’har storyline and the needs for one single timeline, as Nozdormu was charged with protecting.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Katie is a long time gamer who has fallen in love with multiple genres. She started young by playing Nintendo 64, Spyro, and Blizzard games such as Warcraft II with family, then eventually moved into playing games in both my leisure time and as a occupation. She loves being immersed in different universes and exploring the characters that live in them, as well as just playing games for a good time.
