Moria, Blizzard World, and Good Conversation [w/ Andres of Omnic Lab]
Andres from Omnic Lab joins us to talk current patch notes, what's on the PTR, eAthlete behavior, and if Overwatch deserve eSports Game of the Year....
As we wait for Moria to release, there isn’t much news going on. Still, things are stirring in the community. A Top 500 Torbjorn main was banned for 24 hours after reports to Blizzard that he wasn’t cooperating with the team. What does this mean for one-tricks? Spoiler Alert: you need to work with your team, and sometimes that means switching off to help with the comp. We also dig a bit into the latest update for Oversumo. Tweaks include a percentage based performance rating, and also only being rated against players in your current rank. Even with the new changes, players need to be mindful of how they interpret the data.
Additionally we discuss some pretty good proposed changes for comp from the forums. Adding LFG and locking comp to six man teams sounds pretty good to us… Mostly. We also get into the future of Overwatch comics, the relationship between Reaper and Soldier: 76, and more.
