In Memoriam
Goodbye Shadowblood! Or was it Stormbringers? Why is this so difficult to remember?? We discuss what we liked and what could have been better with 4.X and our hopes and dreams going forward with 5.0....
This week we are joined by a special chipmunk guest! We’re in the final stretch before 5.0, but stuck in that side quest, sightseeing, mount collecting lull. With all these new announcements and job videos, we speak lightly on healer changes but want to stay pretty spoiler free until Shadowbringers comes out. We broke immersion to speculate if Squeenix will reveal new content at E3. We also may have talked crap on a very loved game in the Final Fantasy franchise.
There’s a couple of events to jump on to grind out while we wait. We also give some light advice for returning users. There’s an extremely successful round of “Name that NPC” by our standards, but we invite you to let us know if you think we are correct! Spoiler, we probably aren’t.
We end the show by completely butchering the outro. Again.

Chip has a boring adult day job and then burns as much free time as possible playing the videos james. Fond of a variety of MMOs, JRPGs, and action games without active time button mashing.
Began the gaming life with a game boy to be kept entertained during a vacation in the early 90s and forgot to put it down after that. Currently, most gaming time goes into FFXIV. Doing her best to prove she's not a robot.
Arriving on the Nexus: The Leusinia, Angaran diplomats, & an angry Firefighter terrorist. Departing the Nexus: sickness!
What makes fighting games unique, the impact of modern trends, and the significance of community and representation within the genre.
Rounding up the second 7.2 Live Letter preview and patch notes just prior to release.
Jaal doesn't want Ryder to kill Akksul, but maybe Ryder has an itchy trigger finger. And by Ryder we mean Nick.
