We hit you with all the spooks and scares of lost connections, endgame crafting, and people getting overly upset about stuff on the internet!...
Time to enjoy 4.4 as we move Four Point Fourward (seriously guys, enough with these puns)! Christy and Chip got a late start to the update, but Kristen stepped up with lots to share about the story and the new raid tier!
We talk about what we experienced in the past couple weeks, business trips and all. Chip is super salty about… Lighthouse? Pretty much everything, actually. Speaking of salt, the community still seems a bit displeased with the companion app, so we discuss what improvements the app could use to be seen in a better light.
We also spend some time discussing the story content in this patch, including the main scenario and the new raid tier. One of them ends abruptly, the other ends really well! From there we move on to a lengthy discussion about leveling crafting / gathering jobs which we promise won’t be our last.
Finally we have what might be our most successful round of “pronounce that NPC” to date! Everyone brings their A game and Christy finally gets some points on the board. There’s also a surprise visit from Kristen’s dog hidden within the episode, be sure to listen closely!
Gaming has been a core part throughout Poptarts life. Though her specialty is JRPGs, she tries to branch out and try new things. Most of her time gets put into the MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, but she still finds time to play new games.
Chip has a boring adult day job and then burns as much free time as possible playing the videos james. Fond of a variety of MMOs, JRPGs, and action games without active time button mashing.
Began the gaming life with a game boy to be kept entertained during a vacation in the early 90s and forgot to put it down after that. Currently, most gaming time goes into FFXIV. Doing her best to prove she's not a robot.

Rounding up the second 7.2 Live Letter preview and patch notes just prior to release.
