On Leveling, Raiding, and the Arbiter
Nick and Harv dig in on leveling while Rei and Eric focus on the struggles of raiding....
The gang is back to talk about the latest World of Warcraft news! But first, Rei talks about raiding when people are out sick. She complains that people tend to miss raid in groups rather than one at a time, which is odd. Also, Order of Corrupted Souls defeated three bosses with alts, and they then resumed working on mythic +.
Eric talks about his new sword and the proc effect he is excited to have. He mentions that he is not as unhappy with Horrific Visions as he was.
Harv messed up on N’Zoth but what he did caused the second try to work better so it worked out for everyone. Also, he is feeling the content drought after rushing to get his reputations done with the Rajani and Uldum Accord.
Nick is excited to finally have run a Horrific Vision and have his cloak. But he also wants to talk about Mike Morhaime’s recent comments about WoW losing some of its stickiness by making the game easier to play as a solo player. Ghostcrawler chimed in to point out that for many people, WoW was their first online game interacting with other people. Brack also commented that he thinks WoW has a good balance and looks at Classic and Modern WoW as one entity. This leads to a discussion of what everyone’s first online experiences were and Nick talks about trying to balance difficulty against the pull of keeping friends together.
In the news, Ion did another interview about Shadowlands. Activision Blizzard is now fully work-from-home and will cover employee’s COVID-19 costs. Also, during their earnings call they announced bookings were up 21%. Finally, Luke Smith from the Destiny 2 team teased an upcoming expansion with “You are not prepared.”
Our question of the week is “What was your first online game?”
Then we look back at episode #58 which featured Adam from Deadly Boss Mods.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
Jinx update, Guilty Gear Strive 3v3 2nd beta, Capcom Cup XII announcement, new characters in Multiversus.
Its been a busy few weeks: Brutosaurs, anniversaries, documentaries, patch announcements, and more!
A reasonably timely episode about the upcoming 7.1 patch and second Live Letter for it, and other things.
