WoW! Pre-Patch Thoughts!
The pre-patch is here! Rei and Eric are trying to fit all their abilities on their bars! Harv is excited corruption is gone! And Nick is looking forward to going back to Legion!...
Mel from Warcraft Reloaded is here to join us to talk a little about classic as we (at the time) wait for Patch 9.0 to drop on Tuesday. First, Rei talks about pugging and how people don’t always listen and the struggles that can cause. Eric, meanwhile, caught the coronavirus, and raided (and recorded episode #168!) while infected. He was sluggish and so they didn’t run the usual content but he made it through. Then they ran Ulduar and he got Mimiron’s Head to drop! Harv talks about how he is upset about Shadowlands being delayed because he had to reschedule some time off and he probably won’t be able to get vacation time at launch now, whenever that might be. He also expresses joy that corruption is going away in the pre-patch.
Mel talks about playing in Classic and running the various old raids. She also talks about how she was recruited on to Warcraft Reloaded by Bob.
In the news, the are reports of WoW Classic players tracking women’s relationship status in a spreadsheet. Don’t be creepy and don’t do that.
In retail news, Kaivax posted a developer update about improving the Maw and Conduits as a focus of the delay. Covenant Abilities were restricted to work only in Shadowlands, but that has been reverted and they will work anywhere. Kellen Goff has temporarily taken over for Chris Metzen to voice Thrall. And Battle for Azeroth is now included in the base game subscription.
In other news, Activision-Blizzard has announced that they are closing the Versailles office and laying everyone off. This hits Nick particularly rough. And a Blizzard novel and manga Humble Bundle is available with a bunch of stories that is worth checking out!
Our question of the week was What are you looking forward to in the pre-patch? Our next question is “How are you enjoying the Pre-patch?”
Finally, we look back at episode #69 when Legion Legendaries were a problem.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
Mel loves playing video games during her free time. She didn't grow up as a gamer but quickly fell in love with it when she started. She mainly plays Classis World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Hearthstone.
We finally sink our teeth into Andromeda, evaluate the systems and try to determine who is the Jenkins.
Jinx update, Guilty Gear Strive 3v3 2nd beta, Capcom Cup XII announcement, new characters in Multiversus.
Its been a busy few weeks: Brutosaurs, anniversaries, documentaries, patch announcements, and more!
A reasonably timely episode about the upcoming 7.1 patch and second Live Letter for it, and other things.
