Nick, Rei, Eric, and Harv are back to talk about what’s been going on in the World of Warcraft! First, Rei talks about PVPing with former host Jeremy. She discusses doing skirmishes and arenas. She also talks about trying to bring more people into PVP and how some people struggle when executing plans. She also talks about sticking with suboptimal talents for PVP because she knows she’s better using them than to switch to what would be an optimal build. She refers to an ability as “barbecuing ass” which leads to a discussion of what some players may yell out during combat. Finally, she talks about running Torghast and some of the difficulties she encountered with Divine Toll.

Eric, meanwhile, is excited OoCS got a full normal raid clear of Castle Nathria. They are also three bosses in on Heroic. He was working with a new tank in the guild. He also ran Torghast and talks about the Twisting Corridors. He did not like the Beasts of Prodigum event because he would rather feel overpowered than have a companion beast that he is powering up. He likes the ability that lets his Death Knight radiate death coils.

Harv has been playing lots of AFK RPG’s on mobile and wonders why Blizzard doesn’t have one. He has been doing the Maw for his campaign quests and hates it. He wishes the flight whistle worked again, and everyone agrees.

Nick was on the Con Before the Storm Shadowlands 2 panel. He talks about getting into an argument about Covenant abilities.

In the news, Redditors have been using toys on nodes to confuse bots, Blizzard changed their policy towards accounts hawking dungeon and raid runs, and PC Gamer had a brief interview with Ion Hazzikostas that has led to much speculation about when Patch 9.1 may be coming. Also, Ghostcrawler is tweeting again, Battle.net was updated, and Activision Blizzard donates to charity.

Last week’s question of the week was what characters would you like to meet in Torghast to recrcuit for your mission table. This week’s question is What do you like to yell (in game or in your head) or emote when using your abilities? Send us your answers to wowtalk@mash.gg or @wowtalkmtb on twitter.

Finally, we look back at WoW! Talk! #76 when the megadungeon Karazhan had just gone live and Nick was grinding for the Falcosaur mount. Everyone gets into a discussion about when to say gratz in chat.

Thank you for listening to WoW! Talk! Our next live show is scheduled for 2/1/21 at 10:30 pm E at twitch.tv/mashthosebuttons. For any scheduling updates, please follow us on twitter @wowtalkmtb. Send any emails about your thoughts or feedback or to answer our question of the week to wowtalk@mash.gg.

Hosts

Nick Zielenkievicz

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.

Rei Liou

Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW

Eric Knutson

Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW

Christopher Greer

Chris has been playing World of Warcraft since 2007. When he's not playing his hunter in Azeroth, he's probably playing one of his many alt hunters. If not doing that, he's probably playing a different hunter.
