Antorus Before Us
Antorus opens this week! Are we ready? Also, Blizzcon panels and the Dev Q&A!...
Nick and Rei are feeling a little under the weather but that doesn’t stop them from joining Eric to talk all things Warcraft this week! First, Rei and Eric talk about raiding Tomb of Sargeras with their Ret Paladin switching to Holy to fill in. This leads to Nick discussing his monk alt that he has been playing and how he struggles playing anything other than DPS (and even then, he struggles as the DPS spec.) Rei has managed to level her Demon Hunter to 110 without ever getting the artifact weapons. Nick wonders if Demon Hunters are in for a nerf come Battle for Azeroth. Discussion moves to Nick talking about using the free world quest token available to Warlocks and Death Knights (and only a few other classes) to get his Prestige Level 2 artifact appearance, and then points out that there should be enough time before Legion to get at least two more prestige levels for anyone who can use this system. Nick then talks about how there are minimal class changes coming in BfA, but he takes credit for sorta calling the Heart of Azeroth system back in August of last year. This leads to a discussion of changes that are coming with BfA, including the loss of Hati and the second pet for Beastmaster Hunters.
YepX tweeted that he did not like the Battle for Azeroth cinematic, and Nick responds by talking about how inspiring Sylvanas’ leadership was and how she took control of the situation, and compares her to Grommash when fighting Mannoroth in the Warlords of Draenor cinematic. Yepx also wrote in expressing concerns about Classic WoW, how level scaling will affect the economy, and a dissatisfaction with the faction warfare in BfA. The general consensus was that Classic WoW won’t affect the live game, level scaling will change the economy but it will sort itself out, and that the faction warfare is part of the game and we need to wait and see what happens.
Alisaunder also wrote in to point out that Blizzard needs to focus more on a regular questing experience for players since half the player base doesn’t raid. Nick agrees and wants to see weekly quest content available going forward. Alisaunder also is unhappy that it is pre-ordained that Horde loses Undercity before her character can do anything, but Nick again says we need to see how the story happens. Just because we know the outcome doesn’t mean the journey to get there isn’t worth it.
In the news, HonorBuddy is being shut down, and Nick wonders if a Christie Golden tweet about writing for Sylvanas could mean that she’s working on the next novel after Before the Storm.

Host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & The Goblin. Sometimes known as the Video Games Public Defender. Wants to play more Destiny and Marvel Heroes but WoW is all-consuming. Decent F2P Hearthstone player. Sad that he lost the Wii that had Wrecking Crew on it. Would be happy if the only game ever made was M.U.L.E. Gragtharr on Skywall-US. Garresque on Ravencrest-US.
Rei is the 1 of the 5 SEELE members and the Ops Director at MTB. She enjoys anime, baking, cooking, gaming ( fighting, puzzle, rhythm, RPGs ), and spending WAY too much time working on spreadsheets. Current Games: Tales of Crestoria, WoW
Auto mechanic, car enthusiast, gamer, runner and almost never serious, Eric has been ditching responsibilities and gaming since age 7. His favorite genres are FPS and racing, although most of his game time is currently spent on WoW
The Virtua Fighter Project, Clive in Tekken 8, more GG Strive Balanace Incoming, and FGC Tournament Standards

A heaping helping of banter mixed in with reviewing the level 93 trial of Dawntrail's MSQ. Also candy discourse.
