Overwatch League is back! Season 3 is finally here! We’re so excited to finally be back to weekly coverage, and can’t wait to get into this week’s games! We begin with a quick recap of this week’s announcements, including the Dallas Fuel’s promotion of flex support Crimzo and the debut of the OWL Stats Lab! We discuss the potential of the widespread availability of such critical information and talk about the possibilities for content creators and league personalities.
We go on to recap this week’s homestands, at with the Excelsior in New York and the Fuel in Dallas. We recap the festivities and fun from each event, and talk about how opening weekend sets the standard for homestands going forward. We also discuss the new talent additions, as well as the production errors that hampered day 1. Next, we recap each game, report final scores, and point out standout performances. We wrap up by discussing the developing meta, which heroes work best where, and what viewers can expect in the coming weeks.
We conclude by awarding our first Player of the Week, and with a small preview of Week 2’s coming action. Overwatch League is finally back, and we can’t wait for you to join us for the ride in 2020!
